Kidder still perfect, but No. 6 Denison tops No. 21 Kenyon

GAMBIER, Ohio -- (April 9, 2008) Two North Coast Athletic Conference rivals and nationally-ranked teams met Wednesday afternoon in Gambier. In the highly-anticipated women's tennis match-up, No. 6 Denison University dominated doubles play to help turn back No. 21 Kenyon College, 7-2.

Excellence in Achievement

Another JIS student achieves excellence at University.  Priya Rao, Class of 2003, received the University Medal for Biotechnology from the University of New South Wales.  This is the University’s highest possible recognition of an undergraduate student, and awarded when a student has displayed distinguished merit in a specific area of study.

Election Time

The first voter in this year’s historic Super Tuesday was none other than JIS Student, Jessica Buck Class of 2008.  Jakarta was the first polling station to open, and Jessica’s ballot was among the very first cast. Hundreds of thousands of Democrats living overseas started voting Tuesday with the first ballots cast at the stroke of midnight in Indonesia, where contender Barack Obama lived as a child.  The President of Democrats Abroad, Indonesia, is Arian Ardie, Class of 1977.
